I read this 3 times not sure, did you replace the down spout? better yet is your down spout fitted with a rod or device that stops the water to divert it to the shower head.
That should be replaced. second the new one could be bad...

: I HAVE REPLACED THE COMPLETE FAUCET AND I AM STILL HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE TUB SPOUT RUNNING WHEN I HAVE THE SHOWER ON, THE TUB FILLS WITH WATER BEFORE I CAN FINISH A SHOWER AND THE SHOWER PRESSURE IS REAL LOW ..... ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP WOULD BE WONDERFUL....THANKS THE WANNA BE HOMEREPAIR PERSON TEENA.............
