I want to install a timer switch (Intermatic SS7C) to control a 220v outlet. There are 2 wires coming form the wall, a Black and a White. These wires are currently connected to a switch that has 4 connections 2 on each side of the switch, the 2 wall wires are connected to the lower connections of the switch (Right/Left) and the upper 2 connections are connected to the outlet.
The Timer switch that I am about to connect only has 2 connections (a Black and a Blue wire) and I am looking for help how to connect these wires. Again they are not 110v it is 220v. I tried to connect it as a regular switch but… The fuse blew instantly. Any help is greatly appreciated. I can fax a diagram on demand.
