I have an older home that has lath walls with a plaster skim coat. The previous owners put up paneling in the hall and it's hideous!

We started pulling the paneling off & many of the nails stayed in the wall, I have gone through 3 claw hammers & 2 nail pullers. The tiny heads of the nails dig little round holes in the "V". Eventually the hammers wont pull the nails out.

I tried hammering them in, but they just bounce back causing little inverted "volcanoes" in the skim coat, with the nail still sticking out.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...
Thank you in advance.
