I want to raise the level of a concrete floor to match the rest of the house. I am intending to lay floor joists directly on the slab then run heat and wiring under this floor. what, if any, vapor barrior do I need to lay under the joist to protect the joists and insulation from moisture migration from the concrete. This floor currently has no moisture problems that have been noticed. Also do I need to fix the joists to the floor? I plan on "banding" the interior walls with 2x6s then laying the 2x6 joists toenailing them into the end bands.
