I'm not real sure about the paint, BUT!!! If you are going to roll the paint on the ceiling, I do know that you need to make one pass with the roller in one spot then move to another. The "popcorn" type ceilings are sprayed on and the texture has a dry wall mud(joint compound) base to it. To much wet paint in one area with start to make your "popcorn" fall off. So paint one spot and let it dry before paint again. This can take some time. Hope this helps.
