In order to finish my basement as planned, I'll have to move my water heater. Are there any do's and don'ts I need to consider before moving it? The new location (about 8' away) will be past the first set of pipes branching off to an upstairs bathroom. Is it okay to have the hot water line backtrack to these pipes?
