You can convert one of the switches to an outlet. No, this does not have to be switched by the remaining switch. Just run the power (black) and neutral (white) to the outlet first before continuing on to the fan switch. Also, ground the outlet. Be sure to use an electric outlet tester. This plugs into the outlet and tells you if you have the correct connections. If there's any doubt, call an electrician.
