We just bought a 50's ranch house with a full basement. The main floor has a cement subfloor through out with old vinyl/asbestos tile. The tile is easily removed but leaves a tar type adhesive behind on the concrete. We want to install a resilient floor but are told the old adhesive will bleed through vinyl flooring. What can we do to either remove the adhesive or seal it?
